I can't wait for the beginning of lupus awareness month to kick off! I am beginning to plan my festivities! One of them is going to be the Walk to End Lupus Now here where I live on May 11. On May 10 (world lupus day!) I'm going to try to get out there and do something awesome as well!

It really is crazy how fast a full year can go by. I feel like it wasn't that long ago when I was first learning about Lupus Awareness Month, its history, and what it really meant to show support for people living with this chronic autoimmune disease. For the last month, I have been working on a brand new infographic for Lupus Awareness Month 2013, and it is finally done! I hope to share this with as many people as possible in hopes of spreading a little awareness this month. If you get a chance, you can have a look at the infographic here: http://www.achieveclinical.com/news/lupus-awareness-month-purple/

My doctors and I think I might have lupus and I just wanted to write to say that reading your blog has made me feel a lot better about it. That i'm not alone. Its very new to me and i'm 16 and in the feeling sad for my self part of it.
Right now I am in a lot of pain because we are seeing how I do without strong drugs. and I'm not doing well. Its hard for me to see all these healthy teens tell me how hard their life is and they have no idea what I am going through. Reading your blog made me feel that I can get better and though its not going to be easy there is hope. And that Im not alone. I hope that you keep posting as you get better because I think that its good for people like me how are new to this can read this and find hope.

I was diagnosed with lupus four years ago when I was 16. It has been a rough few years but while I have lupus it doesn't have me!
